Algorithmic Penalties from Google mainly have impact on those websites which does not adhere to Google Webmaster Guidelines Or use black-hat SEO techniques.

Disavow File

Disavow file should be in .txt format and it must be encoded in UTF-8 or 7-bit ASCII. “domain:example.com” used to discount all links from example.com domain, while individual links can be mentioned one per line. # is used as comment tag to tell Google what action was taken before Disavow that link.

Disavow Links Tool
Disavow Tool from Google, is webmaster tool to disavow the links which you have selected to discount from Google algorithm after manual cleanup process. These links may be the links which acquired as a result of doing bad SEO, Negative SEO, or low quality bad links which violate Google Webmaster Guidelines. TXT format is used in Disavow Tool in preset format to disavow one or all links from any domain name.
